Experiment 7: Attitude

                                                         Experiment 7: Attitude

My thinking during my graduation days was that I could do only a few things and rest of them were not my cup of tea. But after I was admitted to JKSHIM my point of view has changed. I have started thinking that everything is possible by me, only if I am ready to do the hard work. I started doing things such as presentations, seminars, speaking to new people, addressing my faculty etc. which I never used to do before. Thus my attitude towards my abilities has changed a lot.
These were a experiments which I tried on myself and emerged being more confident and positive towards my approach.

Experiment 6: Time management

                                                    Experiment 6: Time management

Frankly speaking, i was a lazy person in the recent past but things happening in JKSHIM have put me out of my boundaries. I had a tough time managing my time. Thus I made a small experiment by observing my faculty members and seniors as to how they managed their time. Slowly I started practicing things like getting up early, finishing things within a specific time, multitasking etc. This has helped me a lot

Experiment 5: Career path

                                                       Experiment 5: Career path

I was totally blank about my future before I joined MBA in JKSHIM. I made it a point to plan something about it. I started questioning myself every now and then about my interests and what I love to do the most. I came to know that I liked to speak to people and I had a pleasing sense through which people around me get easily convinced with. After a few discussions with my friends and family I am in a position to choose HRM as a career path.

Experiment 4: Knowledge

                                                           Experiment 4: Knowledge

It is very difficult to gain knowledge of everything around us. But having an idea of the things around us is very important. I started observing things around me such as college rules, hostel timings, exam dates and similar other minor things. As soon as I got a clear idea about what is going on around me I started linking things with it. Thus my sense of knowledge improved.

Experiment 3: Presentation Skills

                                                     Experiment 3: Presentation Skills

I had never done formal presentations before but after I joined the MBA course I had to do lots of presentations. I used to be very uncomfortable with presenting and expressing my opinions. I started preparing myself well before a presentation had to be delivered. I started understanding what was the purpose of the presentation and the objectives and also my opinions, then I made mock presentations in my room along with my friends and thus my skills improved.

Experiment 2: Confidence level

                                                      Experiment 2: Confidence level

Gaining confidence is one of the most important aspects in one’s life. I was very confident when I used to speak to my friends and family but whenever I had to speak to a stranger or speak formally with people I used to hesitate. I tried making an experiment with this by speaking formally with my friends and asked for their feedback. Slowly I started gaining confidence and kept continuing this habit until I was sure I could be stable when I spoke to an unknown person.

EXPERIMENTS TO WARDS MY GROWTH

EXPERIMENTS TO WARDS MY GROWTH

As we all know the fact that no human is perfect, so am I. But accepting this fact and working on it to improve ourselves is definitely in our hands. Therefore I have put in some efforts and made an attempt to better myself.

Experiment 1: Language barrier

I had a problem with my communication in English. I was not so fluent while making a conversation. I made it a point to regularly read articles in English such as newspapers, magazines and pamphlets. I also started reading hoardings and banners while I traveled. This has brought a lot of change in my communication. I started to understand the grammar and sentence formation. Thus this technique helped me overcome my language barrier.

The one person from whom I learnt the most

Every person gets inspired by someone or the other. Some get inspired by their family, while some get inspired by their friends and some from popular leaders. We can learn a lot from the person we are inspired. Likewise I’m inspired by Mother Teresa. She is also known as ‘Teresa of Calcutta’. She was born on 26 August 1910. She founded the missionaries of charity and she lived a very simple way of life. She was the youngest child in her family. At the age of 12 she decided that she wanted to be a missionary and spread the love of Christ. Then at the age of 18 she left her parents and joined Sister Loreto. There she was called as ‘Mary Teresa’.

She sacrificed her family and looked after many poor children as well as old people when they were suffering from infectious diseases. She also started an open air school for homeless children. She visited many poor families every now and then. She washed the sores of some children and took care of an old man lying sick on the road and nursed a women dying of hunger and TB. Her great work fetched her awards like ‘Padmashri’ and ‘Nobel Peace Prize’ and attention for the glory of God and in the name of poor.

These days nobody is bothered about others. People are so selfish and self-centered. But Mother Teresa taught us a wonderful lesson. She lived her life for others. Helping others was her only aim in life. Her lifestyle inspired me a lot. The way she helped poor and sick people touched my heart. In the same way we should also start taking care of others and help the needy people. We always complain about the things we don’t have. Instead of this we should be happy with what we have because there are billions of people in this world who can’t even afford a meal a day. We are blessed with a healthy body while many people die of sickness.  We must be satisfied with the things we have and start helping others and live a peaceful life.

I FOUND A RS. 1,000 NOTE ON THE GROUND

I FOUND A RS. 1,000 NOTE ON THE GROUND

First of all if i find 1,000 rupee note on the ground firstly i will feel very happy and confused, later i will pick that note and start thinking about my needs. If i start thinking about my needs there is no limit so i will decide to give that money to some poor student who are not able to buy their study materials.
And i will use it for buying some stationary like pencil, pen ,color pencil and some books which will help the poor student. Finally  when i see a smile on their face it will gives me satisfaction that finally i did something good in my life and this i will remember for the rest of my life as it gives me happiness to  help those in need.
